Feature Deactivation
Dynamic Video Feature
Disabling Dynamic Video for an advertiser can be done while editing a pre-existing advertiser.
While in the Advertiser Settings, navigate to the Features tab.
The Dynamic Video feature can be either toggled on or off in this tab.
A deactivation date can also be scheduled, but is not required.
Notes:
Disabling the Dynamic Video feature at the Advertiser Settings level will disable all Dynamic Video templates and ad versions for the advertiser.
Templates
The Dynamic Video Templates are activated internally by the Hoot Support team after approval is received. While Templates are either saved as a draft, or pending approval, they will appear as inactive. One approved, templates will remain “active” (even when no longer in use).
Notes:
If a template is “active” but does not have any active Ad Versions, it is functionally inactive and will have no effect on billing. Enabling Ad Versions or creating new Ad Versions under the template will make it functionally active again.
Template edit fees only apply to active templates.
Ad Versions
Ad Versions can be disabled by either setting an end date, or by manually toggling the “Enabled” switch. Both features can be accessed while in the Ad Version menu.
Notes:
Ad Versions are the determining feature for the Monthly Service Charge. If an advertiser has no active Ad Versions, the advertiser will not incur the charge.
The end date for your Ad Version marks the first day the ad will not serve. (Ex. if your end date is 7/1/23, the last update/upload for the ad will be 6/30/23).
