Facebook Ad Set Configuration

Within the video ads tab for an advertiser, you are able to configure a Facebook Ad Account for Dynamic Video integration. The process is similar to our Hoot Monitor configuration, and our support team will require the same information. To start the process either use the Contact Support option in the HootVid interface, or navigate to our Customer Service Portal directly. Both processes are outlined below.

Contact Support:

Support Tab

  1. Select the Facebook Ad Set Configuration option under the SUPPORT tab.

  2. Fill out the form to complete the process.

The Ad Description and Ad Primary Text fields are optional. The rest of the fields are required in order to upload to Facebook via API integration.

Customer Service Portal

  1. Navigate to our Customer Service Portal: https://hootinteractive.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals

  2. Select the Hoot Vid 2.0 option.

  1. Select the (Hoot Vid 2.0) Facebook Distribution option.

  1. Fill out the form to complete the process.

The Ad Description and Ad Primary Text fields are optional. The rest of the fields are required in order to upload to Facebook via API integration.

Next Steps:

A support ticket will be created upon completion of the form. Our support team will respond with updates on this ticket.

Requests will be sent for access to both the Page and Ad Account. The requests must be proactively approved by you or your client.

The request for access may not be sent immediately. Expect to see the request within 24 hours from our iMonitor account (or iMonitor 2). If you need assistance with the approval process, please refer to Meta’s internal documentation:

https://www.facebook.com/business/help/619744345300739

While the requests are pending, please create your Dynamic Video ad and save it as a draft. Once the request is approved, our team will be able to enable the Facebook Settings portion of your ad.

Navigate back to your ad, and make whatever updates are needed to the Facebook Settings. Only the Headline text is required for upload.

Additional notes on using Dynamic Video on Facebook: Make sure to choose a campaign objective that supports an ad with a single video file. The list of these campaign objectives can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/360195617512041?id=603833089963720. However, you will want to avoid choosing “Lead Generation,” as this objective is not currently supported by our Dynamic Video product.
