Custom Templates

General Workflow

  1. Sales will approach the video team with a potential custom template design opportunity.

  2. The agency will fill out the intake form to outline creative direction.

  3. Justin will have a preliminary call with the agency to finalize the design.

  4. A summary/itemized creative direction for the template design will be sent to the client as well as the custom template agreement form.

  5. The agency will sign the custom template agreement form and a Jira ticket is created.

  6. The video team begins production.

  7. The initial proof is sent to the client for approval.

  8. The template is sent back for edits and/or approved and activated.

If a client’s design requests deviate from the original agreed-upon design, a $200 adjustment fee will be applied to their charge.

Pricing Structure

Custom templates start at $500. However, the ceiling is determined by the scope of the agreed upon design. The following table can be used to best estimate pricing that will be communicated to the client.

This key is for internal use only. The pricing structure isn’t client facing.

Pricing Considerations

Currently, there are only three types of custom template requests that will not incur a fee.

  1. Edits to agreed upon elements/fields that aren’t functioning properly.

    1. EX: Adjusting a text field to add text wrapping or image scaling incorrectly.

  2. Managed service clients will not be charged for custom template designs. However, they are still subject to the same checklist and overall design approval process.

  3. Templates that have a universal use in the HootVid library.

    1. EX: If a client requests a template for a vertical we currently don’t have any examples for.
