Custom Display Feeds

Custom Feeds allow you to filter inventory feeds into new unique feed links. These feed links can also have adjusted formats to integrate into multiple platforms besides Facebook and Google. Skip the read and watch the video here.

Setting Up a Custom Feed

  1. Navigate to the Inventory Feeds tab of the desired advertiser.

  2. Click on the +Feed Subscription button.

  3. Provide a Feed Name, Select your Feed Type, Select your Feed Format. Click Next

  4. Select your Advertiser and apply URL Appends. Click Next

  5. Add desired filters within the filter group. Click Next

  6. Your new Custom feed will appear on your inventory Feeds list.

Note that there is no costs or limits associated with creating new custom feeds.

Feed Name

Feed name as it will appear on your inventory feeds list.

Feed Types

Aging Inventory

This feed contains only inventory that has been in the feed for ___ amount of time. The amount of time is set by the user.

Default

The default feed type including no additional conditions.

Lowest Prices

This Feed Type display the lowest price vehicle in the feed by default. When additional Filters are added, this lowest price condition will match. Example: If I filter by “Type“ this will display the lowest price Truck, SUV, Minivan, etc… in the feed.

Now Available

This feed contains only inventory that has been added to the feed within ___ amount of time. The amount of time is set by the user.

Price Drops

This feed only includes inventory that has had a price drop of $___ within ___ amount of time. Both Price difference and amount of time are set by the user.

Sold

The sold feed type allows users to view inventory that have left the feed (been sold) since ____ amount of time. Amount of time is set by the user.

Feed Formats adjust the column formatting for the custom feed to enable integration into multiple platforms. Feed Formats available include:

URL Appends

URL Appends allow you to automatically apply UTM parameters to all URLs passing through the Hoot inventory feed. This can be done by adding both the name and value then clicking the blue plus. Multiple Names and values can be added. The campaign URL preview will show an example of what the expect output will be once appended.

Filters

Filters Allow users to control the inventory within the new custom feed. The use of multiple filters allows the user to create granular versions of feeds, most commonly utilized within display campaigns.
